Kermit's Certified Transmission & Auto is the BEST!!! I have a 2000 Astro VAN for work and was having problems with the Transmission. I live in Prescott AZ, and was driving back from Bullhead City when my transmission went out. I googled transmission services in Kingman, and came up upon Kermits web site. Nice looking web site. I called them in and they said bring it on down. I got it down there and the Mechanic I forgot his name took a look at it! (AT this time it was 5 and they close at 5:30) Sorry to forget your name, but he fixed the problem within 30 minutes. There was still a slight problem with my transmission. (they had it fixed enough so that I can get home) But then Kermit the owner shows up at 5 30 closing time. He takes a look underneath and pulls some wires from the bottom of my transmissions replaces some parts looks over some other parts, takes it for a test drive comes back and tells me im ready to drive home. I was impressed at the speed and services that Kermit and his crew provided. I told him about YELP and told him I would submit my comments about the great job they did. I will drive 150 miles now for Kermits to service my transmissions on all my vehicles and will recommend family and friends to do the same. Passing through Kingman towing a boat. Stopped for breakfast and noticed a small puddle of trans fluid on the ground. Saw Kermit's on Yelp and took a chance.
Kermit inspected the truck and determined the front trans pump seal was leaking and we would not make our destination. Deb rearranged the work schedule to get us in immediately Mitch and Kermit went to work pulling the trans and making the repairs. We were back on the road in four hours. Kermit's definitely saved me a ton of money when another shop said I needed a new transmission for $2900.00. I friend recommended Kermit's ( a few friends did) because I am fairly new to the area. They did some clutch work and other stuff and the bill was $980.00 The only issue I had was with communication, which is partly my fault. Debbie was wonderful but when I said to go ahead to fix the clutch I still wanted to know of any other repairs before they are done. I would have replaced the starter myself and saved some dough. My family were traveling from Phoenix to Las Vegas for my daughters birthday, on I40 the transmission on our Nissan completely let go. Luckily I called Kermit and he arranged for a tow and rental car so we could continue on with our vacation. I contacted the closest Nissan dealer in Lake Havasu, AZ. to order and purchase a rebuilt transmission and fluid, shipped to Kermit's for $3800.Now the really good part of the story once in Vegas, Debbie from Kermit's called to let me know that Nissan had doubled the warranty on my transmission, I had no knowledge of this, and I was covered. Kermit got my car towed to Lake Havasu Nissan because labor was only covered at a Nissan dealer. The service at Kermit's was phenomenal. I'm no mechanic and my knowledge of working on cars is very basic. Kermit's took the time to have an in depth conversation about transmissions in Hondas and whether I needed work done or not. My quote for transmission fluid flush was $250 less than the Honda dealer. When I had the work completed the cost ended up dropping another $25 and they filled up the air in all my tires. Very nice, professional, and honest people that I dealt with at Kermit's. Just got off the phone with a guy that works here and I was inquiring about a brake flush. The dealership I bought my car at kept telling me I needed one so I was shopping around. The guy on the phone was 100% honest with me and told me that I was getting scammed, as I wasn't even halfway near the mileage that I needed to be for just an INSPECTION of the fluid.
